My Brute Fist Fight

I noticed something interesting today when completing my three My Brute fights for the day. Currently, my My Brute is level 58 (almost level 59) and when I was looking through my opponent list I saw some people with stats similar to mine and then I noticed someone that had over 400 hit points. Well, being the competitive person that I am I thought to myself, I know I can beat this guy with over 2x the health I have. So, let the battle begin…

Here are both of our statistics:

If you watch the fight, you will notice that at the end it just turned into a fist fight. Fist fights are something that you usually do not see after level 1, but because my opponent had so much health we both ran out of weapons before the battle was finally won (by me). It is just interesting and really brings home the question:

Which is more important in order to help your My Brute win him/her fights? Weapons or Skills?

I would say neither! The most important thing you need to win fights is STATS. Kudos to you for beating this brute, he seems very tough. He has the combo of sabotage and impact, which is why you ran out of weapons so quickly. He also has lots of hit points to outlast you with. The two of you actually have many of the same skills and weapons, but the big difference is that his hits are high but his stats are low. He can take lots of damage, but he can’t dish it out (or avoid blows, or attack often). The real save for you came from martial arts, which lets your fists do much more damage, which is how you came from behind when the fist fight started. But notice how low his stats are (39) and how high yours are (77)? Even without the m.a. boost, you had the upper hand. Martial arts just made it easier.

I just watched it again. Notice that in the fist fight, it’s obvious that your punches are doing much more damage. Without martial arts, they wouldn’t be. But what’s not so obvious is that you’re also attacking far more often and dodging half of his blows. Without martial arts, this battle would have lasted much longer but my money would still be on you.
