Getting Started on My Brute - Post Archive

Level 0 My Brutes

Today I learned something new when reading through threads on a My Brute forum. You can create Level 0 My Brutes. I had no idea that you could do that and I had absolutely no idea how to do it, but after digging a bit I was able to figure it both why and how. It’s actually very clever! I’ve created 6 level 0 brutes that you all are welcome to fight instead of creating your own and I have listed them below. Here is the cellule for one of them:
level 0 my brute

Why create a level 0 My Brute?
If you are first starting out and just created your My Brute, the easiest way to level up is to create a level 0 brute as well. As I mentioned in my article “Can I fight My Brutes with a lower level then me?“, you can fight opponent brutes up to 2 levels under you. Well, by creating a level 0 brute you can be almost 100% sure you’ll get to level 3 very quickly. Once at level 3 you should start fighting level 1 or 2 opponents because by fighting your level 0 again you will only get 1 experience, whether you win or lose.

My Brute Rankings Guide

Earlier today my My Brute moved up in rankings from “Desert Batterer” to “Sticking Plaster Ripper” and I thought it would give me the perfect opportunity to explain how the My Brute rankings work.

My Brute ranks show up as an image or badge on your brute’s cellule. For example, when my brute moved up today this badge was added to my cellule:
my brutes rank

These ranks are based off of how well you do in the My Brute tournament. The longer you last in the tournament the higher up your rank will be. All brutes start off ranked as Padawan and the highest you can get is Brutal Legend, which is given to you when you win the tournament.

The 12 My Brute Ranks

 My Brute Rankings Guide

Padawan
As mentioned above, every My Brute starts off at the Padawan rank. To be given it you need to win in the 04h – 10h of the tournament.

Desert Batterer

Desert Batterer
To reach the Desert Batterer rank you need to the final 1024 or 11h of the tournament.

Sticking Plaster Ripper

Sticking Plaster Ripper
The funny named My Brute ranks begin…
You are required to reach the final 512 or 12h.

Richter Thumper

Richter Thumper
You must reach final 256 or 13h. This and the above 3 ranks are considered by some Beginner Ranks.

My My Brute was deleted? Can’t create a password?

Today I received a nice e-mail from a person named Dannae asking me a few very good My Brute questions. The two things she was concerned about were that her My Brute has been deleted and now she couldn’t create a password for her new one. Well, these questions have come up several times in the comments (we have received over 100 comments now already on this blog) and I thought I would just go ahead and answer them for her and the rest of you right now. If you still have any questions post them in the comments below :)

My My Brute was deleted?
When you first create your My Brute character you are given the chance to create a password. By creating this password you are making sure that this new MyBrute character is yours and only yours to be played with. If you do not create a password for your My Brute after a certain amount of time it is deleted by the MyBrute.com servers. To stop this from happening be sure to Protect Your Brute and create a password for it.

Once a password has been created for your My Brute there is no way to delete it from the site.

Can’t create a password?
You may have noticed that after playing with your My Brute for awhile that the ability to create a password for it is no longer available. Read more »

My Brute Weapons: Lance, Baton, Trident, Sword, Halberd, and Flail

I am going to do a series of posts of the next week or so and cover all of 26 My Brute weapons. You acquire new weapons as you level up and it is important to know what exactly these weapons can do.

Weapons are randomly assigned to you and randomly used in fights, but once you get one you will always have it and can always use it unless:

  • You throw the weapon at your enemy
  • An enemy brute knocks the weapon out of your hands.
  • You throw it away to use a different weapon.

No matter what the case above, the weapon will always be available to you in the next fight.

The first set of weapons I want to cover are:

  • Lance
  • Baton
  • Trident
  • Sword
  • Halberd
  • Flail

My Brute Skills/Specialties

My Brute skills (also known as specialties) are special abilities that your brute can earn as you level up. These skills are important and dramatically increase your brute’s chances of winning a fight. It is believed that these skills even become more important than weapons and you get to the higher levels (past 20). Like almost everything else on My Brute, these skills are randomly given and so far it is believe that no brute has ever gotten all of them.

We have compiled a list of all of the skills and their icons so you can find out what each one does and what it looks like. Your brute’s skills can be found on the left side your cellule page under your weapons and will look something like this:

My Brute specialties

Skills/Specialties
This list includes all 28 skills your brute can acquire and is listed based on the image above from left to the right and from the top down.

herculean strength

Herculean Strength
With your strength, you are capable of moving mountains! But that moment has not yet come, you have an enemy to destroy.

feline agility

Feline Agility
You haven’t even got a ball of string to pass the time with, but you can always thump the Brute you have opposite you.

Adds 5-20 Agility points

bolt of lightening

Bolt of Lightening
You hit faster than your shadow and bite faster than your enemy.

My Brute Pets: Dog, Wolf, and Bear

There are three different types of pets on My Brute. They are the dog, wolf (sometimes called panther), and bear. It has never been verified by MyBrute.com how exactly it is decided that you get these pets, but there are a lot of different theories. For example, some people say if your Master has a pet then you are more likely to get one. Honestly, I think it is 100% random.

Although it is unclear how you get the pet, there is a lot of information on each pet and how they can contribute to your My Brute’s success!

Dog
My Brute dog
Health Points: 15
Strength: 5
Agility: 5
Speed: 20

The dog is the most common My Brute pet. One brute can have up to three dogs and once you have a dog it will automatically join you in all of your fights. When/if you get your dog your brute’s health points will drop by 10. However, as you can see your dog has 15 HP so you are technically gaining 5 total.

Wolf
My Brute wolf
Health Points: 30
Strength: 10
Agility: 10
Speed: 10

The wolf is a rare, strong, and fast pet. If you get one you should be very excited, but at the same time you should know that now you have no chance of getting a bear. Once you have a wolf you cannot get a bear. However, you can still get a dog. Unlike the dog, you can only get one wolf.

When/if you get a wolf your brute’s Hit Points will be reduced by 23, however, the wolf has 30 HP to make up for it.

Analyze your opponents before you fight them

Since my post about fighting brutes with a lower level then you I have had several people ask me other ways you can increase your chances of winning a fight. It is not always easy to find a brute with a level or two lower than you, so what can you do to win a fight against a brute within your level?

Look over your opponents fight history before you fight!
When searching for an opponent in the My Brute Arena you are able to see that user’s name and view that brute’s cell (cellule).

My Brute arena

The image above is of my current arena. I can see my opponents stats before I choose which one to fight. I can also see my brute’s stats on the left. It is easy to see that I have many more hit points than the opponent listed in the top row on the right. So, I click on his name (chiiiiiiiiiii) and I am taken to his My Brute challenge page:

Create a My Brute clan

Haven’t joined a My Brute clan yet? Join ours!

I decided that it would be nice for common MyBruteGame.com readers and fellow My Brute fanatics to be able to team up on My Brute so I created us a My Brute Clan. Although My Brute has certain requirements you must meet before you can create your own clan, there are no requirements to be able to join a clan and you are welcome to join our new MyBruteGame.com clan! Of course, if you do not want to join our but would rather create your own clan here is a tutorial on how exactly to do that.

Creating Your Own My Brute Clan Tutorial
level 10 required
First off, My Brute requires that you be at least level 10 before you can create your own clan. If you are not level 10 (“How much experience do I need to level up?“) then unfortunately you cannot create a clan yet. However, there is a way you can still be the owner of a clan, which I will mention below.
Join a clan
Step 1 – “Join a Clan”
The first thing you must do to get to the page where you can create your My Brute clan is click on the button (shown on the right) that says “Join a Clan” in your cell (cellule).

MyBrute or “My Brute” and some Q&A

Since I started this blog I have been paying very close attention to the different search queries our visitors are using in Google to find their way here. For example, if you do a search on Google for “My Brute Game” and click the link to our site that will show the blogs statistics and I will know that is how you got here. This information is valuable to both you and I because now I know what sort of questions My Brute users are searching for and I can answer them for you. One of the first things I noticed though when looking through these statistics is that like myself, you are not sure whether to use the term “My Brute” or “MyBrute.”

My Brute Tournament

In case you did not know, My Brute has a tournament every 3rd day. These tournaments are free to enter (of course, everything is free on My Brute except the iPhone application) and all that is required is that you register your brute for the tournament. Once registered, your brute will automatically fight in the tournament the next day.

How to register your My Brute
Registering your brute for the tournament is easy. The day before the tournament there will be a button in your cellule (page you are taken to when you login) that looks this:

register your brute

Click that button and you are entered to participate in the contest.
